The world has spoken, and it hates Yellow Starburst. We conducted a really official experiment to prove it.
So this year when we *PLANNED* to launch All Pink packs for good, we figured what better way to launch everyones favourite flavour than with everyones least favourite.
The plan was to use this fake news to generate buzz because if there’s one thing the internet does well, it’s hate.
We created actual All Yellow packs to send out to infulencers and prepared a focus group with hidden cameras to create content of people reacting to the terrible news of All Yellow.
Any of our All Pink superfans who reacted to our All Yellow launch on social media were going to be retargeted one week later with the news they actually wanted to see. The good news.
Since this past year had been filled with so many ups & downs, Starburst decided they would spare the world from this one and pull the campaign. RIP All Yellow.
